Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service to students, families, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to student account billing and receivables.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff, both verbally and in writing, to ensure clear understanding of student account information and policies.
  • Process and post various transactions, including cashiering, data entry, and payment processing, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Explain and answer questions related to student accounts, including billing, financial aid, payment deadlines, tuition rates, and 1098T forms.
  • Promote technology initiatives to support student self-service, utilizing internal online portals.
  • Collaborate with other student-facing departments to ensure a consistent and efficient billing process.
  • Perform general administrative office functions, including filing, copying, and managing mail.
  • Assist with billing adjustments, placing holds on student accounts, and collection activities.
  • Maintain accuracy and compliance with university policies, as well as federal and state regulations and guidelines.
  • Responsible for the accuracy, security, and integrity of confidential data within the area.
Requirements
  • Associates degree or higher, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Ability to manage high call volume and adapt to change.
  • Good judgment and high level of professionalism.
  • Commitment to the Rivier University mission.
