Telecommunications Field Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Field Technician to join our team at TrueNet Communications. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have a strong passion for telecommunications construction.
About the Role:This position involves performing various manual duties in support of telecommunications construction projects. As a Field Technician, you will work closely with our team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:- Manual Labor: Perform a wide range of manual tasks, including operating hand and power tools, cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, and removing waste materials.
- Site Preparation: Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth to grade specifications using shovels and other equipment.
- Material Handling: Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the required locations according to project plans.
- Road/Highway Work: Perform various tasks involving strenuous manual labor in road/highway environments to prepare worksites for telecommunications cabling.
- Utility Location: Locate underground utilities and eliminate potential hazards for cabling work to be completed.
- Maintenance: Maintain a clean job site by picking up all tools and equipment and securing the area each day to eliminate potential hazards.
- Traffic Control: Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones.
- Storage: Ensure that materials are properly stored and secured.
- Safety Procedures: Follow proper safety procedures and incident reporting protocols.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of roadside construction experience preferred.
- Skills: Competence with hand and power tools required; valid driver's license and CDL required.
- Personal Qualities: Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner; strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills.

- Walking/Standing/Sitting: Frequent walking, standing, and sitting within the work area.
- Lifting/Carrying: Must be able to carry a ladder and lift 50 lbs.
- Weather Conditions: Must be able to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, and dry).
$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
