We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Assistant Professor to provide course instruction in a manner that ensures student comprehension, retention of knowledge, and positive and effective student engagement.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for holding classes for all scheduled times, adhering to and meeting all established college teaching policies, guidelines, and standards. They will also be required to adhere to course delivery requirements, submit a course syllabus and course outline for approval, and participate in student learning outcomes assessment. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to prepare and maintain Canvas shells for assigned classes, record student attendance, post assignment grades and exam grades, and communicate electronically to students.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, the candidate must have a Master's Degree in the discipline or a related field, or a Master's Degree in a different discipline with at least 18 graduate credits in the discipline. Prior experience teaching at the high school or college level, or experience as a trainer or in conducting group presentations, is also required. The candidate must have proven communication and interpersonal skills, as well as recent technology experience as required of the position.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior exposure to online course study or a Learning Management System (LMS) is highly desirable.
