Job Summary

The Fire Alarm Systems Technician will provide reliable and high-quality customer support through on-site inspections, installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance services for fire alarm equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of NFPA codes and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test and Verify Fire Alarm Equipment
  • Work Safely and in Compliance with Company Safety Manual
  • Use Company Software to Input Testing Results
  • Analyze and Troubleshoot Fire Alarm Systems
  • Program Dialers for Monitoring
  • Complete Basic Repairs and Installations
  • Prepare Final Reports and Deficiency Reports
  • Interact with Clients, Field Personnel, and Fire Marshals
  • Coordinate with Other Disciplines and Engineers
  • Communicate with Project Manager and Schedule Coordinator
  • Train Apprentices on Company Procedures

Requirements

  • NFPA Code Knowledge
  • NICET I Certification within 1 Year of Employment
  • NICET II Certification within 1 Year after NICET I is Achieved
  • Idaho Limited Energy License
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Fire Alarm Service Experience Required
  • Manufacturers' Certifications Preferred
  • Field Installation Experience a Plus
  • OSHA 30 Certification a Plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to Lift up to 50lbs
  • Regular Bending, Reaching, Climbing, and Walking
