Controller Job Description

Growing company seeks experienced accounting professional to drive financial strategy and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all company accounts and investments.
  • Supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit.
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting.
  • Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure personnel and financial information security.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position.
  • Solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
  • Adept at planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs for accounting, data analysis, and financial forecasting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with all levels of internal and external audit and management.
  • Impeccable understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
  • Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
  • Proficient in using financial software and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
  • Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
