Field Survey Technician Position
Compensation: $33 per hour

POSITION OVERVIEW: This role, under close supervision, offers foundational technical assistance in various domains including OMAT, maintenance, construction, intermodal, planning, utilities, surveying, environmental, or traffic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support diverse transportation engineering functions with general oversight.
  • Focus on a particular specialty within the assigned tasks, engaging both indoors and outdoors.
  • Entry-level position within the Engineering/Technology sector.
  • May require further training or experience to fully comprehend all job duties.
Note: This position entails conducting surveys and working in demanding outdoor environments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Acquire knowledge of routine engineering support activities for the designated program area.
  • Effectively interpret manuals and guidelines.
  • Operate necessary equipment and instruments with training.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of data.
  • Able to lift 50lbs and traverse 5 or more miles on uneven surfaces.
  • Exhibit basic mathematical skills and a dedication to exceptional customer service.
