Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Proficiency in transformer coil winding techniques is essential.
  • Prior experience with transformers and coil winding is mandatory.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are necessary for guiding team members positively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rewind various types of transformers, including both liquid and dry variants.
  • Utilize wire-coiling machinery to produce wire or sheet coils.
  • Analyze work orders and specifications to identify required materials.
  • Interpret winding data sheets and technical drawings accurately.
  • Operate winding lathes, punches, and shears efficiently.
  • Cut, strip, and bend wire leads as needed.
  • Select and load materials onto equipment appropriately.
  • Document production and operational metrics on designated forms.
  • Inspect electro-mechanical equipment for any signs of damage or electrical issues.
  • Use hand tools to attach, modify, and trim materials.
  • Employ an overhead crane for material handling during operations.
  • Dismantle or strip damaged electro-mechanical equipment as required.
  • Prepare reusable components for rewinding and inspect them for any hidden damages.
  • Adhere to proper insulating techniques during the winding process.
  • Utilize brazing and welding tools for making connections and fabricating components.
  • Complete necessary documentation for each task in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including winding machines and various hand tools.
  • Conduct electrical testing and maintain records of connections and winding data.
  • Perform tasks as assigned based on departmental requirements.
