Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Leave of Absence Specialist to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to employee leave.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive leave policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to employees and managers on leave-related matters, including interpreting guidelines and making recommendations for system changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and resolve inefficiencies related to leave and disability processes.
  • Analyze data and provide insights on leave management trends and gaps to inform business decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with employees on leave to facilitate smooth transitions and provide support as needed.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and managers on leave processes and procedures.
  • Partner with Payroll and Workforce Management to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees on leave.
