Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant - Patient Care Specialist plays a vital role in providing direct patient care under the direction of a physician. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care services, including vital sign measurements, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist healthcare providers with exams, procedures, and treatments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assisting program preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • 2 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
