Job Overview

Amsted Rail Company Inc is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Kansas City facility. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery
  • Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and repair or replace as needed
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, and management teams to ensure seamless workflow
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures
Requirements
  • PLC experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, and electrical equipment preferred
  • Prior experience in industrial maintenance preferred
  • Microsoft Office and SAP skills preferred
  • Certified welder preferred
Work Environment

As a Maintenance Technician, you will work in a fast-paced industrial environment with exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, and noise.
