Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in the Hematology/Oncology department at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with various types of cancer and blood disorders.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences and goals
- Conduct thorough health histories, physical examinations, and psychosocial assessments
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies, and develop treatment plans based on results
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, as authorized by New York State law
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies
- Stay current with evidence-based practices and advances in hematology/oncology
- Current registration as a Professional Nurse in New York and registration as a Nurse Practitioner in New York
- Master's degree in Nursing and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- At least five years of clinical nursing practice in hematology/oncology or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to apply nursing process and critical thinking skills to achieve specific outcomes
