Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Porter to join our team at The Battery Atlanta. As a Housekeeping Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our commercial and retail spaces.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim to ensure a high level of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Clean and maintain rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Sweep, scrub, finish, and polish floors to maintain a clean and polished appearance.
  • Clean and maintain rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Dust and clean furniture and equipment to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Polish metalwork to maintain a high level of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills to ensure a clean and polished appearance.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal areas to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Work Environment:

The work environment for this role is fast-paced and dynamic, with occasional exposure to high places and fumes or airborne particles.

The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.


Physical Demands:

This role requires regular standing, walking, and use of hands to handle and feel objects. The employee must also be able to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
