Job Description
As a Caregiver/Direct Support Professional, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges. Your duties will include:
- Providing essential support to help participants grow, learn, and live well
- Expanding your knowledge of psychology by working with individuals with diverse needs
- Developing meaningful relationships with the people you serve
- Taking initiative to help participants engage in their communities and pursue their interests
- Supporting participants with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene and budgeting
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Excellent communication and adaptability skills
- The ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
- Patient, compassionate, and reliable behavior
- A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance (for day and evening shifts)
