Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled and motivated Permanent Estimator to join our team within the Engineering sector. This role presents an exciting chance to be part of a dynamic and innovative environment where you will play a key role in estimating project costs, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring the successful execution of various engineering initiatives. This position is ideal for a seasoned expert with extensive experience in the construction field and a commitment to delivering top-notch results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
  • Create detailed, fixed-price estimates utilizing RS Means, Bluebeam, or other Unit Price Book software to generate comprehensive line item estimates.
  • Conduct specialized studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or implement cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates.
  • Assess material and labor requirements to determine the most cost-effective approach for producing or purchasing components.
  • Engage with clients, vendors, and team members to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve any issues.
  • Oversee subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of all work.
  • Manage and coordinate all phases of the construction process from concept to completion.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for project stakeholders.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor.
  • Demonstrated experience with detailed fixed-price estimates using RS Means, Bluebeam, or other Unit Price Book software.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to effectively manage resources, schedules, and quality of work.
  • Experience in subcontractor management, focusing on quality and timeliness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Able to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
