Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative at Food Lion, you will be responsible for providing fast, easy, flexible and friendly service to our customers through the achievement of Food Lion customer service standards. You will be the face of our company, ensuring that every customer has a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting each customer, using their name whenever possible, and unloading their groceries from the cart to the belt.
Scan customers' orders and handle payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work station and front end area of the store, adhering to Food Lion's dress code and standards.
Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and cart corrals, and ensure the MVP savings center KIOSK is filled with paper and properly working.
Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances.
Ability to bend and lift products weighing up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. on occasion.
Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions.
Ability to tolerate working in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
Ability to have sufficient visual ability to check ID cards, checks, invoices and other written documents.
