Job Summary

The State of North Carolina is seeking a highly skilled Business Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Budget Office, you will provide administrative and budgetary support to ensure the smooth operation of our financial services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process invoices and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Place orders through our eProcurement system and manage state-issued Purchase Cards for small departments.
  • Prepare budget revisions and realign funds as needed to meet business requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating annual Fixed Asset inventory and serve as backup to Cashier and other Budget Office staff as needed.
Requirements
  • Documented accounting experience in a business office.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to perform assigned duties independently and adapt to changing requirements and deadlines.
  • Experience using general ledger accounting codes, Excel, and Word documents.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in North Carolina Financial System (NCFS), eProcurement, and Integrated Budget Information System (IBIS).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline, and two years' work experience in Accounting or Budget.
