As a Medication Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents by administering medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans.
- Review and document medication administration records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to ensure medication updates are received and implemented.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information, including medication records.
- Report any resident concerns or issues related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse.
- Restock medication carts and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the medication room.
- Assist in checking medication inventory and reporting any discrepancies to the Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure residents receive high-quality care and services.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
- Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in difficult situations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
