Position Overview: St. Xavier Home Care Services is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Specialist to deliver essential services in the realm of children's mental health. This role involves providing a range of support services tailored to meet the needs of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR): Facilitate rehabilitation efforts aimed at helping children and their families regain essential skills, improve socialization, and overcome behavioral health challenges.
  • Planned Respite: Offer temporary relief for children and caregivers, ensuring that care is community-based and aligns with the child's interests.
  • Caregiver/Family Advocacy and Support: Provide training and assistance to families, helping them navigate community transitions and integrate effectively into local resources.
  • Prevocational Services: Develop and teach foundational skills necessary for successful employment, including communication, workplace conduct, and job application processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with at least two years of experience in children's mental health, addiction, or foster care; or a Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related fields.
  • For Planned Respite, a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • For Caregiver/Family Advocacy, a Master's degree in education or human services with relevant experience is preferred.
  • For Prevocational Services, an Associate's degree with one year of human service experience is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rates ranging from $17.50 to $30.00, depending on qualifications and experience.
