Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Diley Ridge Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic therapeutic respiratory care, including IPPB, aerosol therapy, postural drainage and percussion, oxygen therapy, arterial blood gases, and non-invasive monitoring.
  • Perform critical care patient management, including ventilator management, Code Blue/ACLS management, CPR, and cardiopulmonary patient assessment and evaluation.
  • Provide airway support during procedural sedations and perform clinical Point of Care testing, accurately, timely, and efficiently.
  • Review and validate test results and follow up with appropriate action, record and report test results, and maintain instrumentation by performing calibrations, maintenance, QC, and troubleshooting.
  • Operate and provide laboratory backup on selected equipment, including ABG analyzers and Point of Care devices.
  • Participate in critical situations, including trauma, resuscitation, heart team, and stroke team, within the scope of licensure and organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved School for Respiratory Therapy leading to an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Maintains current Ohio Respiratory Professional License to practice in the State of Ohio.
  • Maintains a current National Board Respiratory Credential for those in a program after 7/1/2002.
  • Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care for Registered Respiratory Therapy or as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
  • Experience in adult and pediatric respiratory therapy procedures, including aerosolized delivery of medication, mechanical ventilation, assisting with intubation, extubation, pulmonary function studies, emergency care, and obtaining and interpreting arterial blood gases.
