Job SummaryWe're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Radiologic Technologist to work in our Diagnostic Imaging Department at Duke University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for operating x-ray equipment, explaining procedures to patients, and positioning patients for radiographic views. You'll also assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures and special radiographic procedures, and accurately process images for optimal quality.
Responsibilities- Operate x-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs
- Explain procedures to patients and position them for radiographic views
- Assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures and special radiographic procedures
- Accurately process images for optimal quality
- Charge radiographic procedures and modify orders as needed
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong foundation in radiologic technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You'll also need to be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and have a strong understanding of radiation safety guidelines.
