Role Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify and implement the Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Collaborate with external trucking dispatchers and drivers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Optimize daily routes for efficiency and profitability, suggesting adjustments as necessary.
  • Conduct routine assessments of route efficiency and time management for all scheduled deliveries.
  • Oversee the scheduling of driver routes, including coverage for vacations and maintenance needs.
  • Supervise the loading of products onto transportation vehicles.
  • Ensure the accurate preparation of delivery documentation for transport personnel.
  • Coordinate product pick-ups in collaboration with purchasing teams.
  • Develop and implement training programs aimed at enhancing driver skills and productivity.
  • Manage budgets for the assigned unit, ensuring alignment with operational needs and approved financial plans.
  • Address inquiries and resolve issues related to transportation operations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a supervisory transportation role.
  • At least three years of experience in fleet management, routing, and safety compliance.

Desirable:

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a valid commercial driver's license.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance and auditing procedures.
