Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Management Specialist to join our team at the Air Force Materiel Command. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and organizing the activities of our Product Support section.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and direct the activities of Product Support Management to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
  • Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities and represent the AFLCMC/HNC Product Support Manager with various installation and functional area organizations.
  • Oversee the activities of a LCL Integrated Product Team (IPT) for product support execution.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. This includes:

  • Developing goals and objectives that integrate organization and logistics management objectives.
  • Advising and providing counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
  • Establishing, developing, and maintaining effective working relationships with internal branches and supported customers within the Department of Defense, Military Branches, and other governmental agencies.
  • Planning, organizing, and overseeing the sustainment and support activities required to field and maintain the readiness and operational capability of assigned systems, subsystems, and components.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or competencies in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other governmental agencies that interface with and/or influence the systems acquisition process.
  • Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures, and of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information.
  • Skill in providing a wide range of advanced principles, concepts, procedures, standards, and techniques, and the techniques of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) sufficient to plan and execute complex and difficult product support programs.
  • Ability to plan, organize, lead, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of system programs and/or equipment, and to integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of acquisition functions.
