Nurse Clinician III Outpatient

UTMB Health seeks a skilled Nurse Clinician III Outpatient to provide high-quality patient care in a correctional setting. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the daily care of assigned patients.
Key Responsibilities- Competently assesses and identifies patients' care needs, formulates appropriate nursing diagnoses, and develops individualized care plans.
- Executes physician's orders for all assigned patients, administers medications and treatments, and delivers culturally congruent and specialty-appropriate nursing care.
- Performs routine and complex technical procedures/skills in the assigned specialty area and prioritizes patient care activities according to skill level and work complexity.
- Adheres to internal controls established for the department and performs related duties as required.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas and have at least two years of clinical RN experience. Current BLS-HP certification is also required.
Work EnvironmentThis position is located within the confines of a prison, jail, or juvenile detention center, and security clearance is required. Pre-employment drug testing is also mandatory.
