About the Role

As a Retail Operations Director at Daily Provisions - Manhattan West, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily activities of the front and back-of-house teams, ensuring that all guests receive an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence throughout the organization, driving business objectives and growth through enlightened hospitality practices.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of beverage and kitchen stations, ensuring seamless execution during peak hours.
  • Serve as a champion of customer satisfaction, delivering memorable experiences for in-store and digital orders.
  • Oversee the maintenance of store cleanliness and organization, guaranteeing that inventory is readily available for employees and guests alike.
  • Provide continuous support to front- and back-of-house staff, actively participating in the cycle of service as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with HR best practices, holding team members accountable to standards and evaluating disciplinary procedures when necessary.
  • Promote payroll accuracy and timeliness, adhering to established business/accounting procedures.
  • Guarantee Department of Labor (DOL) and Health Department compliance in daily operations.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of management experience in a similar retail environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent expertise gained from time on the job in a hospitality-related field (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH) Food Protection Certificate holder.
  • Fluency in English, with Spanish preferred.
