Join Our Team as a Recreational Therapist

OhioHealth Neuro Transitional Center is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team. As a Recreational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients with acquired brain injuries or spinal cord injuries regain their independence and quality of life.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual to work with our patients in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Recreational Therapist, you will be responsible for planning and implementing community integration activities, leisure and functional structured activities, and transporting patients on community outings.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement community integration activities and leisure and functional structured activities according to patient needs
  • Transport patients on community outings
  • Complete electronic medical record documentation and coordinate with rehab manager regarding weekend activities
  • Participate in team conferences collaborating with the transdisciplinary team
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Baccalaureate Degree in Therapeutic Recreation and current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). You should also have certified experience in a medical setting and a current State Driver's License in good standing.
