Position Overview

The Cashier plays a crucial role in accurately managing and documenting cash collections across various operational areas while ensuring a secure work environment. This role also involves maintaining internal audit controls related to cash handling, coin equipment, and documentation. Additionally, the Cashier is responsible for upholding a clean and safe workspace and may assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Precisely counts cash, coins, and checks on a nightly basis
  • Enters necessary daily records into internal systems utilizing Microsoft Office and other software
  • Ensures reconciliation of funds against documentation
  • Records daily cash room activities, including nightly deposit details, route discrepancies, and key logs
  • Monitors driver cash discrepancies for auditing purposes via an Excel spreadsheet
  • Maintains cash room security and reports any issues
  • Conducts bi-annual checks of security systems, including cameras and alarms
  • Implements internal audit controls regarding cash, equipment, and documentation
  • Assists Office Coordinators with branch stewardship activities and other administrative tasks as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Basic math and reading proficiency
  • Basic computer skills with familiarity in Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of integrity and ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills preferred
  • Ability to lift bags of coins and other items as necessary
  • Occasional bending and lifting of up to 30 lbs
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including holidays

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience
