Job Overview

Position Summary

This position is essential for on-site operations.

The individual in this role will play a pivotal part in supporting both clinical and commercial manufacturing planning as well as finite scheduling activities for the Drug Product and Drug Substance Manufacturing Sites. The primary focus will be on the ASO/OSD operations. Responsibilities include the creation and maintenance of detailed and precise daily production schedules that align with both short-term and long-term objectives utilized by various teams including Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Validation, and Plant Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement planning scenarios/models to support site bulk production plans, including contributions to ASO/OSD labor models. Analyze production bottlenecks and develop alternative solutions.
  • Provide insights on equipment availability for facility readiness, changeovers, maintenance, and shutdown project schedules, ensuring all resource requirements are met and troubleshooting any constraints.
  • Initiate and oversee improvement projects aimed at optimizing planning processes and associated software systems (Infor). Lead project sub-teams to achieve timelines and key deliverables, focusing on enhancements in time, cost, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with Planning & Scheduling peers and other site-based Business Process Owners, as well as Global Network Strategy teams, on long-range planning initiatives.
  • Educate and mentor manufacturing operations team members on aspects of site scheduling functions and the maintenance of procedures.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a biopharmaceutical manufacturing professional with strong organizational and analytical skills. This individual should be prepared to take ownership of the finite scheduling of critical operations, continuously coordinating the contributions and efforts of various cross-functional teams towards the shared goal of schedule adherence and enhancement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (STEM preferred) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, OR
  • Associate's Degree (STEM preferred) with at least 5 years of relevant experience, OR
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven success in biopharmaceutical manufacturing scheduling and planning.
  • Extensive project management experience with a strong ability to influence others in complex problem-solving scenarios.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing planning software platforms (Infor Advanced Scheduling preferred).
