Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in a part-time benefitted position. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine to complex CT procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and procedure areas to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure proper safety standards are met to protect patients and staff.
  • Operate CT scanners and other equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Properly identify and explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Start IV access and inject contrast media under the direction of a physician, as needed.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, using established CT protocols to achieve the highest quality images.
  • Instruct students and residents, and perform preceptor duties as needed, to support their learning and development.
  • Assist in maintaining supply inventory and participating in ongoing service and process improvement efforts.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a JRC-accredited program in Radiography required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Eligible for ARRT (CT) certification required; ARRT (R.T.) certification required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required; ARRT (CT) certification required within one year of hire.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical Demands

The job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive), and repetitive motion (computer keyboard). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are essential, as well as attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull lbs. May be exposed to cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
