Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the upstream work group objectives and engage collaboratively with team members.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, review regulatory submissions, and facilitate the technology transfer process.
  • Ensure laboratory space and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
  • Adhere to safety and regulatory standards, documented through our internal training programs.
  • Execute experiments, analyze results, and present findings effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry).
  • 0-3+ years of relevant bioprocess experience.
  • Proficiency in aseptic techniques.
  • Comprehensive scientific knowledge and experience in various upstream methodologies.
  • Ability to conduct complex data analysis and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Capable of troubleshooting technical challenges, planning, and executing experiments independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Familiarity with designing lab-scale microbial fermentation processes and scaling up to pilot or manufacturing levels.
  • Experience in bioreactor operations and related analytical techniques.
  • Knowledge of control systems and data acquisition.
  • Understanding of cell culture and fermentation processes.
  • Experience with large data set processing and interpretation.
  • Familiarity with process design and control strategies.
  • Experience in industrial-scale fermentation optimization and operations is highly valued.
  • Experience in developing and executing experimental programs in laboratory settings.
  • A strong interest in applying current scientific literature to practical applications.

Work Environment:

This position requires on-site presence and may involve off-hours work to support laboratory activities.
