Medical Office Registered Nurse General Surgery Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our General Surgery team at Nuvance Health Med Practice PC in Rhinebeck, NY.
Responsibilities- Assist physicians and physician assistants in providing patient care, preparing materials and equipment, and obtaining patient history and medical data.
- Provide direct patient care, including vaccinations, medications, wound care, and suture removal.
- Collect and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians or physician assistants.
- Instruct patients and families on preventive care, medication, and treatment progress.
- Communicate with patients via phone to provide follow-up, test results, and physician instructions.
- Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve practice missions and quality improvement.
- Fulfill compliance responsibilities and perform other duties as assigned.
- Five years of job-related experience preferred, with one year of supervisory experience required.
- Medical knowledge and terminology, computer skills, and data entry experience.
- Knowledge of insurance contracts and requirements, clinical and business office functions.
- Verbal and written English proficiency.
- Essential: Registered Nurse, High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Desired: Associate's Degree, Previous medical office experience.
Full-time position, 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts, 8:00am-4:30pm. Located at Nuvance Health Med Practice PC, Rhinebeck-NDH 6511 Springbrook Avenue.
