Medical Office Registered Nurse General Surgery Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the General Surgery Department at Nuvance Health Med Practice PC. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical team in delivering high-quality services.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for medical exams by gathering necessary information, supplies, and equipment.
- Obtain patients' medical history, vital signs, and other relevant data to assist physicians and physician assistants.
- Provide direct patient care, including vaccinations, medications, wound care, and suture removal.
- Collect, prepare, and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians or physician assistants.
- Instruct patients and families on preventive care, medication management, and test preparation.
- Communicate with patients via phone to provide follow-up, test results, and physician instructions.
- Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practice's and WCMG's missions through quality improvement initiatives.
- Fulfill compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Five years of job-related experience preferred.
- One year of supervisory experience required.
- Medical knowledge and terminology.
- Computer skills and data entry experience (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of insurance contracts and requirements.
- Clinical and business office functions, including direct patient care.
- Verbal and written English proficiency.
- Essential: Registered Nurse.
- Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek, 8-hour shifts from 8:00am to 4:30pm. The work schedule is day shift, and the location is Rhinebeck, NY.
