We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our General Surgery team at Nuvance Health. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and physicians in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for medical exams and procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
- Collect and analyze patient data, including vital signs, medical history, and test results, to inform treatment decisions.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and administration.
- Provide wound care, suture removal, and other basic medical procedures as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Five years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a General Surgery setting.
- One year of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
- Strong medical knowledge and terminology, with the ability to communicate complex information to patients and families.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including electronic medical records and data entry software.
- Knowledge of insurance contracts and requirements, with the ability to navigate complex billing and reimbursement processes.
