Position Overview:

Synechron Inc is in search of a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer specializing in financial services to engage in a long-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate robust data analytical capabilities, particularly with data housed in Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Engage in effective communication with onsite leadership and developers, leveraging a strong technical foundation.
  • Possess extensive experience in database management and data modeling, ensuring cohesive implementation across various teams.
  • Oversee and mentor offshore development team members.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Proficient in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, and UNIX.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with PL/SQL, along with shell scripting expertise and Unix/Linux familiarity.
  • Exhibit strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of data management principles, including database architecture, with proficiency in Oracle SQL and standard database query tools.
  • Experience in data analysis and mapping techniques is essential.
  • Prior experience in Business Intelligence, including data architecture, entity relationship planning, dimensional modeling, ETL, OLAP, and analytical reporting, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with database development in Oracle and SQL Server is advantageous.
  • Experience in Trading or Banking technology is a plus.
  • Background in Compliance or Independent Testing is beneficial.
  • Data Warehouse experience is an additional asset.
