Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Line Cook to join our culinary team at AC Marriott in Chesterfield, MO. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for executing all kitchen operations, ensuring the development of quality menu items and line products through the consistent application of appropriate kitchen skills and strict adherence to established recipes.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu Execution: Prepare and cook menu items according to recipe requirements and adhere to product sensitivity and plate presentation guidelines.
- Station Management: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring a safe working environment and reducing the risk of injury and accidents.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely food flow and address potential problems with service/kitchen staff and managers.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks of filters, thermometers, fans, and drain lines, and maintain equipment by keeping gas stove manifolds and orifices clear of food debris.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all prepared food meets the standard of excellence of the Company, and maintain strict sanitation standards to protect against cross-contamination and food borne illnesses.
Requirements
- Culinary Experience: 2+ years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Certifications: Current valid permit to serve alcohol as required by the State of Indiana.
- Physical Demands: Ability to carry trays, and lift and handle supplies, smallwares and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds, and walk or stand exert well-paced mobility during entire shift (approx. 6-8 hours).
