Mental Health Therapist

Canvas Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapist or Clinical Trainee to join our team. As a Therapist or Clinical Trainee, you will provide clinical services to children and families in a school setting, emphasizing a high level of skill and knowledge about families, individuals, and family assessment, family skills, and education services in the school.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide diagnostic assessments and therapy services to eligible students and their families.
- Consult/team with school psychologists, school social workers, teachers, and multiple mental health providers.
- Provide case consultation, training on mental health issues, and assistance to school personnel for clients in the Therapeutic Assistance Program.
- Master's degree in social work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or Clinical Counseling.
- Possess or currently pursuing an LICSW, LMFT, LP, or LPCC licensure.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in working with severe emotional disorders in children and adults, family systems theory, individual and family development, and community resources and school systems.
- Considerable ability to plan and implement treatment strategies for children with SED.
- Experience with students and families of color, understanding of the impact of race and poverty upon students and families.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records.
