Job Title: In-Room Dining Server

At Goldener Hirsch Inn and Residences, we are seeking a skilled In-Room Dining Server to join our team. As an In-Room Dining Server, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests by providing a memorable and personalized in-room dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Order Taking and Delivery: Accurately take and place orders, inputting them into the POS system to ensure correct timing and billing.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Deliver requested items in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring a consistently high-quality service.
  • Guest Interaction: Engage with guests to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring a personalized experience.
  • Menu Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of all menu items and communicate any special requests or modifications to the kitchen.
  • Payment and Settlement: Prepare the guest check accurately and collect payment or signature, as required.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and properly clean all restaurant equipment and fittings.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that the food delivery is tidy and maintain an accurate par of food items, including beverages and snacks.
  • Food Safety: Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by following proper skills and food safety guidelines.
  • Private Bar Maintenance: Clean and maintain in-room private/mini-bars, reporting damage or malfunctioning units.
  • Quality Control: Check the quality and expiration of all items, discarding and replacing according to established procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of one year experience in customer service or the foodservice/hospitality industry.
  • Age Requirements: Must meet the minimum age requirements for food and alcohol service.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 30lbs.
