Job Title: Electric Power Generation Technician

Carter Machinery Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Electric Power Generation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our yard operations team, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and maintaining equipment, generators, and attachments. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure the yard remains organized and accessible for easy equipment retrieval.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload equipment, generators, and attachments from trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain the organization of the yard, ensuring easy access to equipment.
  • Direct the delivery and returns of equipment, communicating with supervisors as needed.
  • Perform basic check-in inspections and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Deliver parts and inventory equipment, maintaining accurate records.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-directed, organized, and able to interact with coworkers and train new team members.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

The Electric Power Generation Technician role requires the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver items up to 50 pounds, including bulky objects. You must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, dampness, and humidity. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
