We are seeking a skilled and dedicated School Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Butts County Schools. As a key member of our school community, you will provide essential nursing services to students and support the overall well-being of our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing services for students during the absence of the school nurse, including administering medications, treating injuries, and providing first aid.
- Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure seamless care and support for students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in school nursing.
Requirements:
- Valid State of Georgia Practical Nursing License or Registered Nursing License required.
- Valid certificates in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid required.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in nursing preferred.
- Previous school experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs preferred.
