MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Dosimetrist to join our team at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. This is a hybrid position that requires a strong understanding of radiation therapy and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Treatment Planning: Design complex treatment plans using input from films, contours, and CT scans.
- Treatment Time Calculation: Calculate treatment time for approved plans and interact with technologists to ensure accurate delivery.
- Brachytherapy Planning: Perform brachytherapy treatment planning, assist with source insertion and removal, and conduct room surveys.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality control checks on treatment planning systems, treatment machines, and radiation measurements.
- Clinical Teaching: Participate in clinical teaching and exemplify excellent Guest and Staff Relations.
- Bachelor's degree and completion of a Dosimetrist Program.
- 5-7 years' experience as a radiation therapist or completion of a dosimetry program.
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist preferred.
- Proton experience preferred.
This position has a hiring range of $56.89 - $104.89.
