As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating our engineering speed while expanding into new industries.

We're seeking a seasoned engineer with a strong grasp of CS principles, who can expand their responsibilities to include coordination, awareness, and oversight of technology projects and deliverables.

This role has five key accountabilities:

  • Accelerate Speed of Innovation - Deliver key products and features at an accelerated pace, building on our existing fast-paced environment that ships multiple times per day across various products.
  • Engineering Leadership - Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Vorto's unique culture to build a world-class, differentiated engineering team.
  • Coaching - Coach the engineering team to challenge and grow each engineer, driving individual growth and success.
  • Production Uptime & Quality - Ensure production uptime and quality, focusing on performance, security, availability, and other critical factors.
  • Engineering Strategy - Oversee the overall architecture of the product, aligning it with business needs and driving strategic growth.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 4 years of experience as a software engineering leader.
  • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a BS/BA in Computer Science or an equivalent background.
  • A proven track record of building customer-facing, enterprise products with substantial market success.
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines, be flexible, and adapt to changing business and technical requirements.
  • Strong EQ, collaboration skills, and a transparent approach, with a focus on driving cross-functional teams to achieve results.

Salary: $165,000 - $193,000, depending on experience.
