As a Senior Architect at Burns & McDonnell, you will play a critical role in shaping the direction of our Mission Critical / Commercial / Higher Ed Studio.

This position offers unique opportunities for personal and professional growth by providing a wide range of project responsibilities and leadership roles. You will have the chance to lead a multidisciplinary team, including in-house engineers, scientists, and builders, to deliver design excellence and constructability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide project leadership and coordination, ensuring design intent is incorporated into construction documentation.
  • Mentor and lead teams in producing accurate technical and contract documentation for project construction.
  • Lead construction administration duties, including bid review and support, site visits, addressing technical issues, and improving quality during construction.
  • Work with government and regulatory agencies to achieve project schedule and objectives.
  • Manage and mentor talent, including resources for 3D software renderings and critical presentations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program.
  • 8 years of architectural experience, consulting preferred.
  • Registered Architect preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in standard architectural techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Expert computer skills (e.g., BIM (Revit), Adobe Suites, and 3D rendering programs).
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $175,000 per year, based on factors such as education, qualifications, prior work experience, and work location.
