We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Business Operations Manager to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in the financial management of surgical services, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform monthly variance reporting for revenue and expense, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Director of Business Operations to develop and implement new equipment, instrumentation, and technology justifications, pro formas, and feasibility studies.
- Partner with leadership to develop operational, strategic, and capital budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Review financial data to ensure proper pricing and billing processes are implemented and maintained, adhering to Advocate's financial control policy and corporate compliance guidelines.
- Utilize advanced data analytics to process complex datasets, constructing and maintaining dashboards, volume reports, scorecards, and physician scorecards.
- Provide high-level analysis summaries to leadership, identifying areas of opportunity for improvement.
- Monitor key result areas related to finance and surgery scheduling, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Develop and implement new surgical services and programs, providing financial analysis to support viability and operational costs.
- Participate in strategic development of programmatic institutes, collaborating with business development and decision support teams.
- Review profitability of current services and programs, making recommendations for optimization and best practices alignment.
- Masters degree preferred or relevant work experience.
- 3-5 years of operations experience, including project management, consulting, or data analysis.
- Surgical or procedural experience preferred.
- Previous management experience preferred.
