We are seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Operations Director to manage our retail pharmacy at Central Maine Medical Center. This role requires a skilled leader who can ensure safe and efficient dispensing of prescription medications, while implementing collaborative practice agreements to drive patient medication compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Collaborative Practice Agreements: Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement collaborative practice agreements that improve patient medication compliance.
  • Implement Best Practices: Ensure department compliance with state regulations and implement best practices for pharmaceutical operations.
  • Accurate Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of prescription medication received and dispensed, ensuring seamless inventory management.
  • Prescription Dispensing: Ensure accurate dispensing and labeling of prescriptions, maintaining security of the prescription area.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise pharmacists and interns, ensuring compliance with federal and state statutes, rules, and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD: Must have a degree in pharmacy or a related field.
  • Licensed Pharmacist: Must be licensed as a pharmacist in Maine or be able to obtain licensure.
  • Management Experience: Prior management experience in a retail pharmacy setting is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and excellent planning, organizing, and leadership skills.
