Position Title: Trauma/Acute Care Surgery and Orthopedic Physician Assistant

Company Overview: Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center is a distinguished 318-bed nonprofit acute care facility situated in downtown Los Angeles. The hospital offers a comprehensive array of services, including a Level II trauma center, specialized women's health services, obstetrics, pediatric care, and extensive cardiac and surgical treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and coordinate care for patients in Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Orthopedic specialties.
  • Ensure high-quality patient care through diverse roles such as skilled clinician, consultant, educator, and quality improvement advocate.
  • Engage in collaboration with medical personnel, nursing staff, ancillary teams, patients, and their families to foster interdisciplinary care.
  • Work in close partnership with the Trauma Program Director and Trauma Medical Director to achieve departmental objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care environment, specifically with trauma, orthopedic, and ICU patients.
  • Completion of training in Surgical and Trauma care.
  • Capability to perform First assist history and physical assessments for trauma patients.
  • Current PA licenses in ACLS, PALS, and BLS are mandatory.
  • Auditing skills in ATLS are considered advantageous.

Compensation: $90.24 per hour
