We are seeking a dedicated Hospice Care Specialist to join our team. This is a travel nursing position that requires providing compassionate, patient-centered care to patients with terminal illnesses and their families.

This role involves working in a multidisciplinary team to ensure comfort, dignity, and support during the end-of-life journey. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospice care, palliative care, or related healthcare settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care to patients with terminal illnesses, focusing on pain management, symptom control, and emotional support.
  • Develop individualized care plans to address physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
  • Administer medications, including pain relief, symptom management, and hospice-related treatments.
  • Educate patients and families about hospice care, prognosis, treatment options, and emotional support.
  • Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
  • Monitor and assess patients for changes in health status, adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Provide emotional, spiritual, and psychological support to patients and their families, including end-of-life counseling.
  • Offer bereavement support to families after the patient's death.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
  • Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in hospice care, palliative care, or related healthcare settings.
