We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency and Critical Care unit at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional animal nursing care and support to our patients and their owners.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical care to small animal patients in emergency situations, including triage, CPR, and administration of treatments and medications.
- Collaborate with veterinarians, students, and fellow technicians to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
- Manage various types of tubes, catheters, and equipment, including pulse oximetry, direct arterial pressures, and IV fluid pumps.
- Assist with patient rounds, complete patient status reports, and communicate with anesthesia and lab teams.
- Graduation from an accredited Veterinary Technician program and passing the VTNE.
- Confirmed RVT license in the state of Georgia or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Proven experience in an emergency healthcare setting, with critical care experience for small animals.
