About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a wide range of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all stages of project life cycle, from initial planning to completion.
  • Implement and manage quality control procedures to ensure all work complies with federal regulations and company standards.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, such as the US Army Corps of Engineers and Naval Facilities Engineering Command, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, adjusting as necessary to respond to unexpected challenges or delays.
  • Ensure all construction activities align with historic preservation requirements, working closely with preservation specialists as needed.
  • Regularly report project progress to senior management, including budget, schedule, and quality control updates.
  • Lead and manage construction teams, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, implementing preventative measures to minimize project disruptions and ensure safety.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Quality Control Management (QCM) or Certified Quality Control Management (CQCM).
  • Familiarity with Construction Quality Control (CQC) procedures and standards.
  • Experience working with federal contracts, specifically in relation to the construction industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in historic preservation is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with government agencies, such as the US Army Corps of Engineers and Naval Facilities Engineering Command.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards successful project completion.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with team members, senior management, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
