Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at WFF Facility Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our school facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks, including repairs and installations of sinks, commodes, valves, and water coolers.
  • Record start and finish times, provide comments, and adhere to departmental policies.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and prepare piping for replacement or new installations.
  • Perform minor electrical repairs, minor carpentry repairs, and other duties as assigned.
  • Conduct daily routine building inspections, reporting findings to the supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Repair or replace electrical outlets, change/replace lighting fixtures or tubes/bulbs, and repair/replace broken electrical switches.
  • Perform minor drywall repairs, adjust door hardware and latches, and maintain buildings in good operating condition.
  • Replace stained ceiling tiles upon repair of any leaks, oversee outside vendors, and obtain necessary materials.
  • Secure needed supplies or equipment, notify the proper person of any additional supplies or equipment needs, and observe and report any unusual or emergency situations.
  • Make recommendations to the immediate supervisor about improving methods and procedures, work with other trades, and rotate as necessary to cover various shifts.

  • Become familiar with property, buildings, and systems.
  • Work safely, be knowledgeable with all department safety policies, and attentive to all safety talks, special instructions, and posted safety signs throughout the work area.
