Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Custom Application Specialist to join our team at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. As a key member of our agronomy solutions team, you will be responsible for applying herbicides and pesticides to labeled crops, operating and maintaining application equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and apply herbicides and pesticides according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain application equipment, including tractors and sprayers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration on application equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Keep accurate records of application activities, including log books and field maps.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain pesticide applicator certification and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle.
  • Class A CDL required.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with agricultural equipment.
  • Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Agricultural background and knowledge of ag pesticides.
  • Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers.
Work Environment

As a Custom Application Specialist at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC, you will work in a typical warehouse and distribution environment with moderate to loud noise levels. You will be required to work near moving equipment and mechanical parts, and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, and electrical shock. You will also be required to lift or move up to 100 pounds regularly.
