Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Custom Application Specialist to join our team at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. As a key member of our agronomy solutions team, you will be responsible for applying herbicides and pesticides to labeled crops, operating and maintaining application equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and apply herbicides and pesticides to crops in accordance with label instructions and company guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain application equipment, including tractors, sprayers, and other machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration on application equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Keep accurate records of application activities, including log books and spray records.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain pesticide applicator certification and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless execution of application plans.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle.
  • Class A CDL required.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Work Environment

As a Custom Application Specialist, you will work in a typical warehouse and distribution environment with moderate to loud noise levels. You will be required to work near moving equipment and machinery, and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and other hazards. You will be expected to use your hands for various tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
